The tournament is conducting in memory of the bourgas' chess-players Georgi Georgiev and Stefan Kesarovski and its purpose is to pay our respect to their life-work as chess-players, sponsors and propagandists of chess.

The players who play on the first fifteen boards are allowed to offer a draw only after permission from the chief arbiter.
